The KLIM Dakar Riding Glove is a full feature low cuff enduro and off-road glove that packs a lot of function at a good price point. The Dakar glove features a corded nylon stretch back with padding in the knuckle area. The palm is a synthetic material with padding and silicone inserts in high traction areas. These advancements help to make these one of the most comfortable gloves I've tested.
I found fit to be standard, with the fingers to be adequate and maybe a little on the long side. There is plenty of stretch on these gloves so sizing shouldn't be an issue with most.
I found that these gloves are not the best option when the weather turns colder, or wet. They breathe well and would make your hands cold in these conditions. For warm weather riding I enjoy them.
During my testing the gloves functioned well, and show no obvious signs of wear. I only have one complaint about these gloves, the Velcro closure could be a bit larger. I have found that it can come open while riding from a jacket rubbing on it.
If you are in the market for a short cuff off-road style glove for warm weather, the Klim Dakar Glove is a great option. Priced at $39 from various retailers it is slightly higher than off-road gloves that don’t have any of the features the Dakar does. I believe the step up in price is well worth the comfort.
